Would I be able go get through airport Security with a TENS unit strapped to my body?
I am going on an International flight in a couple weeks. I am also suffering back pain (herniated discs, arthritis, etc) which I am sure will be aggravated by a 14 hour flight. A TENS unit gives me some relief.

- Take it off before going through security. They'll scan it in the x-ray machine, perhaps ask some questions and show it working, but it should be fine.
- Probably not... the metal detectors can pick up a single coin. Far better to: a) contact the airline and tell them - see if they can offer any advice seeing as they, through the pilot, are ultimately responsible for security b) get a note from your doctor explaining it c) go to the airport even earlier than usual; be ready to explain to security what it is That said, if you didn't have it strapped to your body and simply put it in your hand luggage for the time needed to pass security, you probably won't have any problems; I'm not that familiar with the TENS unit but it can't be bigger / more dangerous than an iPod (let alone a laptop) that all pass through security no problem.
