I have also seen a similar instrument reffered to as a MCDU (Management Control Disply Unit) and it occupies the same space on the control pedestal as the FMC. I know that these instruments provide and calculate information on ETA's fuel management, flight planning etc. But does it actually provide command to the autopilot? And if so, can an entire course be planned and be used to command the AP? How does the Pilot know when various waypoints have been reached or other criteria have been met? I may have confused the FMC and MCDU.

How to keep sterilised bottles for overseas flight? I'm flying overseas tomorrow and need to take sterilised bottles with me for feeding my 3 month old. I will fill them with water only and add the powder as required, however Im wondering how to take the bottles, as my cooler bag only fits 2 and I was under the impression that once out of the sterliser unit, they needed to be refridgerated. Does anyone know the policy that covers flight pay????? I'm currently in an Avim unit doing track and balance maintenance test flights for aircraft such as the CH-47 and the OH-58, I am meeting and exceeding the monthly minimums of four hours of flight time to get the pay however no one in my unit "seems" to know how to get me into a flight slot so i can get paid for my flight time....however most of the individuals that I ask for help with this say they dont know how to get me the slot but they have had a flight slot for doing the same M.T.F. task i am doing. What score in the hsc would I need to become an airline pilot? I am a year 10 student and keen on becoming an airline pilot. I will be doing 2 unit maths next year and obviously physics. My window AC unit was tilted appox. 30 deg 30 min before installation- should I wait to turn it on? After purchasing my window AC unit, it was tilted approximately 30 degrees while being loaded into my vehicle. Should I wait to turn the unit on? We are trying to sell a second hand Stannah 229 (right hand fix - two bends) stairlift. Any ideas.? Second hand Stannah 229 stairlift in pearl body colour and peach upholstery. Can I vent a 120v electric dryer out my window? I recently moved into a small apartment which does not allow installation of any venting for a dryer. Lugging laundry up and down 3 flights of stairs and trying to compete with people for a washer and dryer at the laundromat has become a nightmare! I looked into the combo washer/dryer units but the reviews have been so inconsistent I'm afraid to pay so much money for one. I read somewhere that sticking a hose out of a window when using an electric dryer was an option when proper venting wasn't available. Does anyone know anything about this?
